When architects are designing their own offices, you know the project is going to be full of specific technical details. That was the case with 3LHD and their new offices in the Croatian capital Zagreb, inside an old cinema building Urania with over 900 sqm of space.

Our task was to achieve perfection with different materials, finishes, and shapes with their design. The tall and big see-through walls, separating the main office corridor from the meeting rooms and offices, were all designed based on an empty space, without any reference walls nor ceilings.

For room separation, designers selected Siberian larch wood with carefully chosen veneer they picked in our spaces. All the wooden elements were produced and installed raw, while the final varnishing was done on the project site after the whole space was cleaned and sealed.

Pivot doors with over 80 kg of weight with soundproof isolation material and iron plates were installed inside the core of the project to maintain the perfect straight line without the possibility of bending or deforming.

The reception was fully produced in a combination of 5 mm steel sheets with a working top of compact material. The front desk was painted in black custom color matching compact material of the stone stop.
